SEMOPS is used by Díjnet for mobile invoice payment

Hungary – October 2009 – Dijnet, one of the largest Hungarian EBPP service providers, has launched a mobile payment service using SEMOPS as its payment engine.

Dijnet initially an EBPP service provider on the internet has introduced the new mobile payment feature that is available for all its subscribers. The company is providing services for the largest utilities and for the cable service provider UPC, with a potential customer base of over 3 million households.

SEMOPS and Dijnet were working together on the specification of the new payment service, have developed a new service specific mobile module and were also introducing a new card based processing solution that is presently patent pending. The payment transactions are authorized by OTP, the largest Hungarian bank. The companies have further plans to extend the service to general e-commerce transactions as well.

Compared to other existing mobile payment services the SEMOPS based solution is available to any customers holding bank cards, it is bank and mobile operator independent, and it also provides added security compared to traditional buyer not present transactions.
